C-150 down at O22 Columbia

The new owner of C-150 and his instructor were involved in a "forced" landing just off the end of runway 29 at Columbia on Monday. They did miss the big pond. No injuries to speak of with the exception of a bruised ego or two. The wind was gusty to about 15 kts and for those not familiar, runway 29 is our grass strip. We also have 5,000 feet of the other black stuff.

Ouch...

A rather inauspicious start to what should have been a trip of a lifetime.
