C-180 installation of EDM900

Building up a new panel in a previously stock 58’ C-180
In the process of installing EDM900 ...
Looking for a photo of the fuel flow transducer installation on the firewall.
Anyone out there have the JPI primary EDM900 in their C-180?
Thanks

Re: C-180 installation of EDM900

I maintain a friends 182 with the EDM 900 and if I recall properly, the transducer is clamped to the lower engine mount support. I’ll have it un-cowled soon and get a picture for you.

When ECI first introduced the CGR30P, I thought it looked pretty slick.
But I see now that JPI's EDM900 is very similar, both in function as well as display.
Why did you pick one over the other?

Re: C-180 installation of EDM900

It was the owners choice ...
I am trying to do the install and would like to find a Cessna 180 with a clean EDM900 installation of the Fuel Flow Transducer.
It is an interesting project, surely there must be another C-180 out there somewhere operating this system. Hoping to find ...

Re: C-180 installation of EDM900

The test flight on my C-180 project was Nov 2016.
I have put on 100 hours since then.
At that time, I decided to stay with individual gauges.
Digital but a more classic look ... the costs added up.
This 58’ C-180 project is pay back for the owner of the hangar I used.
He decided to go with the “all in one” display with the JPI -EDM 900.
I have never actually seen this installation before, so it is an interesting project.
It calls for a fuel flow transducer to be installed on the engine mount or firewall before the carb. Sure would like to see a picture of that ...
Here’s hoping that someone out there with a EDM 900 installed in their C180.
Thanks

Here is a picture of how my Fuel Flow transducer is installed in my 180.

There is a "L" bracket attached to the firewall (the black one) and then the fuel line runs on top of it and that is where the transducer is installed, then everything is securely attached. Gives it a nice straight and level segment of the fuel line - I get very accurate fuel flow.
