C172 nose fork

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

C172 nose fork

I Know its prob. been beat to death but whats the biggest tire to be run on the HD nose fork, like whats on a R172K? there is one at our airport with a 6.00 nose and 7.00 mains. Whats required to sign it off on our 172K?

R172K's where made from 77 - 81. They all have the regular fork. Older model R172's are the military version (t-41 mescalero) some had the heavy duty gear and spring gear. The regular R172K's did not have the HD gear option.

I am also looking to put a HD fork on mine.
