Interesting. Me think...

Some guy was flying with a loose elevator. His A&P sent an SDR in. FAA forwards SDR to Cessna Legacy Aircraft Office. Cessna updates instructions to inspect what should of been inspected. But, never hurts to update the ops from other's misfortunes than, learn the hard way.

Are you at Torrance Airport?

I will try to obtain the "raw data" used to generate the SAIB, tho I expect it may require a FOIA request.

Yes, currently at KTOA.

Yes, sitting at my desk at KTOA.

Looks like CYA SAIB to me. "Do NOT fly with a loose elevator" ... And elevators get loose after "15,000" hours.

Ahhh Torrance...I remember when it was surrounded with corn fields and farms would sell right off HWY(1). Bob Hoover many years ago would get approval from the tower to "Roll on Take-off" in his beautiful "Yellow P51" which was there. I remember Frank Robinson and the little blue hanagar he started in (it's now Home Depot or close). Robinson has a pristine 220,000 SQ FT place now. Have you taken any flight or maintenance courses @ Robinson?

There shouldn't be an SAIB.

This stuff should be checked at preflight annual and 100 hour!
