CA 170 fly in Sep 28 Columbia O22

I'll be there at least one night maybe two. I'll have the kids with me. In addition to going into town there is a really nice trout farm/pond just south of the field.

Here is the post from the 170 Assoc
North-South Annual Fly-In Columbia Airport (Oscar 22 or O22)

Campout or motel. Best airplane campground I know of. Picnic tables, showers, electric outlets, etc. Group dinner Saturday evening at 6PM at Mex restaurant (only one in town), on stage play at 8PM. Full moon for walking to and from campground to town, about 1 mile.

Sunday, grab breakfast anywhere handy, meet at the flight office at 10AM to add up points prior to flying out. Ten points for planes flown in, either day, 5 points for each occupant of the planes, 10 points for best flying story (no repeats from prior years).

Columbia Inn Motel (209)533-0446 $59 Queens & Kings(mention you are with the 170s-per Dennis of the motel for our special rate.
Fallon Hotel(double beds only) $96 or City Hotel $134(800)444-7275.

If it looks smooth, it might be. If it looks rough, it is...www.bigtirepilot.com ...www.alaskaheliski.com

Re: CA 170 fly in Sep 28 Columbia O22

It wasn't as hot as I thought it would be. We at least had a little breeze all day.
Met a lot of the 170 folks and AK was the only BCP guy who showed. He was feeling odd in a 180 so he parked with the nose draggers.
