Sounds about time for a gathering! Not sure I can make it though. Have to check with the wife. We'll see.

Re: Camping at Powers 6/23/2017

Thanks for the open invite, my daughter and I are in, and my dad as well. He should be there around lunchtime, and my daughter and I will be more towards evening.

This will our first time there. Looking at some past reports, there seems to be an outhouse and firewood...is that right or can we bring our own to have a small fire?

Looks like we will not be making it afterall. Some last minute things popped up that we were not expecting. If a miracle happens and we turn up last minute, we will bring our own food but that's not likely.

Dang it, I was wanting to go....

Have fun and hope we can meet up with you guys another time.

Re: Camping at Powers 6/23/2017

Three airplanes from Roseburg arrived at Powers and were greeted by TOM from Powers, he provided us a fantastic barbecue chicken dinner along with hamburgers and all the fixings for about 16 people, two other locals actually the X mayor and his wife brought berry cobbler's. after dark Tom had fireworks that would rival any show!! The next morning we woke up to zero fog, TOM jumped in my airplane along with my wife and grandson and we flew to Agnes on the rogue River for a wonderful breakfast the next morning.
