Camping in Utah or Oregon

Heading to Sullivan Lake tomorrow and looking for a good place to stay in Utah (that isn't 100 degrees during the day) or Oregon. Prefer to camp.
Any thoughts?

Chris,
Once you get into Idaho, you will probably want to stay west of Hell's Canyon to avoid the worst of the smoke and TFR's. Red's Horse Ranch (6OR9) in the Wallowas is pretty neat, although may be warm at only 3600 MSL. I know that Smiley Creek (U87) is smoke free and cool now, but it may be a little off your route. Memaloose (25U) would be great at 7000MSL, but it's inside a TFR. Check out UBCP's database for Utah strips, Dolores Point might be a good one for you.

That's quite a trip from Texas! Good Luck!

Sounds good. Planning on being there either Wed or Thur...depends on how much fun we're having on the way up.
