5-21-11 CAREY IDAHO FLY-IN AND "FUN" RUN U65ID

Last year they had breakfast, a spot landing contest and perfect weather! A great turnout of aircraft and people also. Some of us may be doing some spelunking on the way back in some of the lava flow caves..........

I saw it advertised as next weekend, the 14th. Was that wrong?

Well, I was actually told the 20 th., but that's a Friday, so I figured it for the 21 st. Your question got me to CALL Carey, and it is indeed the 28 th!. Just kidding there, it is FOR SURE the 21 st. I also found out that this year there is no "fun" run, damn the luck.

Stumbled upon this fuel tanker explosion/fire story in nearby Picabo while looking for a phone number there,

Gentleman,

Yes the 21st is the fly in at Carey, ID. I saw a flier posted by the gate at the Hailey Airport on Friday. I hope to make it for the morning before I have to be to work. I think the day is dedicated to Craig Adamson (hence the fuel tanker story).

Not sure if I will make it. Weather doesn't look too good and the wife wants to go fishing so...

I'm sure you can camp there Mr Bill. It's a really nice thick grass strip on the east side of town. Not much there when I was there about 1.5 years ago. Just a short walk to town.

I camped there two years ago. Walked up town to the fair grounds ' and listened to Muzzy Braun. I think it was later on the year. They have a courtesy car available.

Just over the hill to the west ls Pocabo. They have great fly fishing at Silver Cr
eek.
