Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Good find Zane. I was gonna say, in that one shot where the SC was landing the wingtip came awfully close to the cameraman's head.....and then they showed how close it was at the end.
That looked like an awesome trip. The only way it could've been better was if you were in your own airplane.

Didn't watch it all because the data here sucks but looked like 40 Mile Air. They're the real deal.
I would not want to take my airplane most places where those guys go. They charge a pretty penny, and probably don't get to keep much of it considering the service they are providing. Better to pay the money and let them do the maintenance.
I was up there years ago and it got cold early. They really had to scramble to get people out of the bush where they put them in the areas accessible by floatplane only. Can't use helos in AK for hunters so I can imagine the stress level gets ratcheted up a notch sometimes.

Nice Video. Must be the Nelchina Caribou herd here in the Copper River basin.

Leif and his crew are great, lots of history there!!
They pulled there Navajo Air Ambulance out of the Hangar for us last late November so we could park the 210 in a heated hangar for an early start the next morning as there pilot was off to some training!! Damn good guys and gals there! Even sent my cell phone home to me after I left it on there counter!!
Here's a 2014 hunters letter from Leif @ 40 MA

Have as much Fun as is Safe, and Keep SMILIN! GT,
Very nice guys, some of that looks like really good moose country as well as boo. I have talked with some of the guys from 40 mile before and they seem like a good outfit.

Like old home week for me. Some great country out there in the interior.
And, yes, 4MA is a great outfit. Nice folks, indeed.
Tok airport, where these guys departed from, is a nice airport, and Fast Eddies for burgers as well as a hotel right across the street.

Was digging through these shots of old school hunting boo that a friend took up on Hudson Bay (he was flying for the nickel mine and mission).

(reminds me of trying to survive this winter around here...)
