Casper, WY to Houston, TX - Any must see's?

Dad and I will be cruising cross-country in my 182 Friday/Saturday this week. Any advice on must see's, whether for fuel or overnight, would be much appreciated!

About the only thing I can think of is a stop at Liberal, KS ( http://skyvector.com/airport/LBL/Liberal-Mid-America-Regional-Airport ) and check out the Mid-America Air Museum. Nothing too exciting, but I thought it was interesting. It's located on the very south end of the ramp. I'm sure you can park down there and walk into the hangar from the ramp.

Be careful... Weather is looking iffy, specially in a 182 for this time of year.... If you get pushed east to clear the storms a good spot for fuel is.... http://www.airnav.com/airport/KEGT. Pretty good prices for go juice. :) We used to stop there in the CJ-2 for JetA on the return trips back to Jackson from the Fla keys if the headwinds were greater then 60 kts .The new CJ-4 can non stop it pretty easily... Nice airport and friendly folks... You guys be safe,, the pinapple express is headed straight for the center of the country for this weekend..

Not really "must sees" but a few fuel/food stop ideas in case you happen to venture through the Dallas area:
On the OK/TX border due north of DFW there is a restaurant near the strip at 3T0 that is a local favorite (Google "Cedar Mills Marina"). They offer very nice cabins right next to the runway where you can spend the night. Can also drop in to GYI for a burger (restaurant closed Sat-Sun however, still haven't figured that one out).
SWI just a couple miles from there usually has the lowest fuel price on the north side however.
T13 on the south side is a simple grass strip with decent fuel prices and a nice unmanned FBO building with internet, snacks and drinks on the honor system if you want a quick and quiet stop.
Closer to Houston, drop in to 11R for lunch, very popular airport diner and usually decent fuel prices.

Have a good trip!

The weather in south Texas is fantastic and should get even better for Friday and Saturday. We're looking for 75* on Saturday. Me? I'd see a golf course and maybe a bowl game. Tailgate like a college kid.

Have a good flight.
