I been thinkin about this for awhile.

I like what MtnMatt did at the Johnson Creek Flyin with the raffle and donating to some local organizations.
With that in mind, I would like to have a raffle at Caveman this year. I would like to raise a little extra money for Rod and his family for their efforts, the RAF for their efforts, and Utah Backcountry Pilots for their efforts.

Anyone that would like to donate to the raffle please let me know and I will post the prizes. Hopefully we will get some nice prizes from commercial vendors, but I hope others will donate also. Hangar art, aviation memorabilia, fun stuff, whiskey etc.
Tickets will be $10 each,3 for $25.00, 7 for $50.00buy as many as you want.


Probly have the drawing Sun. morning after I serve the gourmet breakfast . That may change if there is a better idea. You can buy tickets anytime up til the drawing. You can buy tickets even if you aren't going just to give some support to the Tangrens, RAF and UBCP. If you want to buy tickets early, or aren't going to be there, you can send your payment to me and i will sent you your ticket stubs. Otherwise just get them when you get to Caveman.

That's a good idea, however, I'd like for our standard list of sponsors that donate for the Johnson Creek raffle to only be contacted once per year for that event so that we don't wear them out. Those can be seen here.

While the Caveman fly-in is popular and successful and attended by many BCP people, it is not endorsed by me or the website in any official capacity. Please do not use the "Backcountry Pilot.org" name when soliciting donations for this fly-in.

Shouldn't that to be up to them? Once they donate to the Johnson Creek flyin, they can't donate to anything else?
I'm not contacting them. I'm just putting it out there. Anyone can donate that wants to, atleast I thought it would be like that.
