I don't recall the prior price, but it seemed really reasonable.
FWIW I kinda hate seeing this "bought to resell" business. A lot of times it's someone doing it that already has plenty of money, it's not like they need the dough. All it does is run the price of airplanes up. I remember at one time Joe Stancil seemed to have spotters all over the country, and he was buying up all the 180's that came up for sale by having a ready cash & lowballing the eager-to-sell owners. Then he'd mark them up and resell them. IMHO all by himself he ran the average price of a good C180 up $10-20K across the country. The result was that I went from sorta maybe being able to afford a 180, to "no way"-- and I'm still mad about it.
