Cessna 208 Caravan

Thought I'd break in this new forum for Zane. (Thanks BTW)

Just got back from Key West and I took a buddy on the Sea Plane trip to the Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson. I had done this same trip last year and posted some pictures. This year I took some video and thought some of you might be interested in seeing an amphibious Caravan doing what it does best. If your planning on going to Key West this trip is worth the $.

Been through there at island city flying service a few times delivering aircraft south and the tour people are in possesion of the fax machine. I never asked how much the tour cost, so how much was it? Do they let you snorkel etc. for long or is the tour too short?

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Trip costs 189.00 and is the same as last year, no increase,,, yet. Trip includes snorkel gear and a couple of sodas or water in a cooler. I suggest the last flight of the day at 2:00 pm. When you arrive the tour boats are leaving and you have the island to yourself with just the rangers and a few campers. You depart at 5:00 pm so there is plenty of time to snorkel and tour the fort which is very cool. The snorkling is very good also.
