Cessna Axle Shims

For adjusting camber, Is there a max shim angle allowed? I can't find a source that states this but there has to be a limit after which the stress on the bolt compromises strength.
180 legs on a 170 gives you buckets of positive camber.

Also, I found this videos of making custom shims using a milling and drill bits

Anyone have a milling machine and would be interested in making a set once I know the sizes I need?

Re: Cessna Axle Shims

I spoke to Dave McFarlane about axle shims at Airventure last year. He said he cut a bunch for a new manufacturer in the Middle East recently. He has the jigs and would be willing to cut custom shims to your specs. Needs good measurements to start with. Wants to avoid any trial and error.

You’ll have to ask this of him personally. I doubt the order desk knows that he’s made this offer.
