Cessna gear leg step repair

Cessna gear leg step repair

I took an old friend for a flight yesterday. When he stepped on the gear leg step, it broke loose. He is a 'large' guy and I am sure the age of the plane doesn't help.

I googled what is used to adhere it to the leg, the recommended product is 'Conley-Weld' which I can only find at Aircraft specialties. Unfortunately it is out of stock.

Anyone know of an alternate epoxy that I can use?

I looked it up and there are many different types. Would you happen to recall the number of it?

Any reason the responses to this were removed? Im in the same boat and this is the only conversation im coming across that had a solution offered.

Because that poster got mad at me for reminding him of the rules (on an unrelated topic) and took his ball and went home. He deleted most of his posts. Sorry. That's the price of giving you all the power to edit.

Clean it up well and use JB weld.
