Now I need to make a Camp Kitchen that sits in the Copilot area.

Re: Cessna U206 Couch

At an Ag operation, they had a modified (now 4 seat) CallAir A-5 for training. The hopper that had sat right of the pilot was removed and an aircraft quality seat mounted. The back seats were just slung canvas and facing backwards AF style. And it was entirely open cockpit. My NG unit was doing a static display at the airport and I took three weekend warriors for a crop duster ride. After the first pull up out of a field I was used to spraying, the pilot up front and I heard a great commotion in back. I quickly landed and we could now hear loud laughing. One of the canvas sling seats had broken and the guardsman ended up on the fuselage bottom (fabric airplane.) Military seat belts were cable clamped to the fuselage tubing same as in most crop dusters.

Made a portable power station/ tray. Small Life battery, Solar panel, Charge controller/discharge protection, Cig lighter input charge 12/24v. Small AC Inverter. Great place to put sunglasses, charge phone, headlamp, holds/charges my handheld that does 2m FM Marine and AM aviation receive. My charge controller/led lights make some RF noise that is annoying on the handheld but if I place it 4 feet away its useable. Red/White reading light. Cig Lighter power-out runs a fan all night.

Built a kitchenet that goes in the copilot position. Holds my cooler, small sink for throwing in greasy utensils, wet rag. Shelves for water jugs, cans of soup, snacks. Place for my cookstove. I need to paint the sink top with a good heavy coat of latex, flashing the backspash stove area. The whole assy holds down with a seatbelt. My buddy suggested a net over it for turbulence. So far I have been able to warm up soup at 17.5.

Modified a magnetic screen door to cover the Utility door and a window for bug free ventilation.

Went to ArkanSTOL for a few days and my system worked out nicely.

Sleeping on the floors of aircraft over the years sucked. The Cot in the 206 was comfortable but required unloading and rearranging everything at night. A cot takes up a lot of space vs a custom dedicated system.
