My wife is interested in getting her PPL and we are looking for a flight instructor close by. She would be learning in the 170 to help keep costs down. Any recommendations?

Check the 170 club??? IF they have one of their good old boys in the area, it would probably be a cost-saver on the insurance.

Thanks for the replies and PMs everyone. I think we may have found a CFI just a 10 or 15 minute flight away.
