CH701 on Air-shocks

This looks like an interesting mod. With those tires I think that travel still must be limited but it should be softer. The builder is from Alberta.

Here is his commentary :

The yellow is Endura "super gold pearl" (Suzuki car color).......the rest is vinyl............
The tires(size) are from an old Honda atv trike........mounted on a lightweight set of aluminum racing rims that I narrowed 3 inches.......this makes the tire tall and skinny................The brakes and spindles are from a Polaris Predator Quad............the control arms we made here at the shop from 4130.........suspension is much like you would find on a dirt bike with gas shocks........very nice ride on rough terrain and steep landings.....
Engine is a Rotax 670 swinging a full length Ivo Medium prop.

Re: CH701 on Air-shocks

Is there a site where there are more pics of this 701? I think the landing gear is interesting. The 701 is one I'm considering when I retire and go LSA.

Re: CH701 on Air-shocks

Hi Kevin. I contacted the guy through the Zenith builders forum. He said he would take some pictures of the gear but has not gotten back to me. I'll poke him again and see what if. He's a hot car builder with a lot of irons in the fire. I don't think he has a website.

It would be extra cool if you could bounce yourself into the air, lowrider style. :D

Thank you Mister 701. I'm not allowed on that site as I'm not a kit owner or serial # plans holder. I rode in a 701 about ten years ago and I was impressed.

You still can't beat a 2 stroke for power to weight ratio! I bet he doesn't fly over the Frank Church though
