Cherokee Taildragger

I got sick and tired of waiting for someone to come out with an STC to convert the venerable PA-28 to tailwheel configuration so I opted to engineer a conversion myself. Because I found it to be too problematic (and I am too mechanically inept) to relocate the main gear legs, this STC will also require the use of the BCPilotguy nose bumper shown in the photo to prevent a nose over accident.

This STC will only be issued to airplanes operated at sub-zero temperatures as we have not yet developed a way to keep the modifications on the airplane in above-freezing conditions.

To receive your own BCPilotguy Cherokee Taildragger STC please send vast sums of money via Paypal to BCPilotguy. (Note: a refrigerated hangar may be required to maintain the STC'd parts in optimal condition until they can be installed.

This type of announcement is most often preceded by a T-shirt marketing campaign. Was skipping this step intentional, or unintentional?

Re: Cherokee Taildragger

Looks like an instrument rating is required for approved operation of this STC.

Way ahead of you. I installed this popular mod on my 150 around this time last year.

Does installation and removal require a sign off by an A&P? Mine didn't.

No, but when I lived in da U.P. I learned that a push broom is helpful.

And let's hope cousin Brian doesn't realise how much time he wasted on engineering and fabrication on a similar project

Thanks. cubscout

I get at least 2 complaints a year that I am not moving fast enough on that project.... Kind of hard to justify when it pays nothing and I have paying work to do... [emoji3]
