Cherry CR4623-X-X rivets in wet/underwater application

Have been very impressed with saltwater durability of CR4623-X-X rivets.

Next project. Comments welcome:

CR4623-X-X rivets being considered on a steel hulled vessel to attach a sail track to the deck. Welding may be to difficult because of under deck furnishings. But, welding is not out of the question. Deck is 1/8" mild steel. Thanks.

The rivets are very hard to pull. Will be using G750 hydraulic gun.

8g - At first I thought you meant pneumatic. Used them a lot as well as loong handled Cherrys of all sizes and types. Then I looked it up - hydraulic it is. Question - is it a self contained unit that recycles the fluid within itself? Curious
Tried to figure out difference with the Monel versions but just got confused this late at - er early am.
Nuther confusion - you talk about a boat - sails - but a steel deck!?! Never seen such - but little experience.

Wannabe knowing more.

It is better to be late in this world, than early in the next.

Self contained hydraulic rivet puller. Really works great! Very slow pull on larger rivets compared to pneumatic, but great for field work.

Expensive, costs more than my first car!

Cherry CRS rivet (Corrosion Resistant Steel) is my first choice. -6 diameter.

I will post this project if you are interested. Yes, it's a steel boat moored in Hawaii. We use aerospace stuff when affordable.
