Cicada emergent in NW AR

Anybody have any solid info on the Cicada emergent in NW AR; specifically first two weeks of June? Planning FlyOz/NW AR for two weeks and normal bugs are a PITA; these guys might be a little nastier...... At least we'll be in camper at night; but, flying and biking during the day might be ugly.

Re: Cicada emergent in NW AR

We have them here in Middle Tennessee now. I don't see where they are any problem.... other than the noise. They are quiet at night so camping shouldn't be an issue. It seems they don't wake up until the temperature is about 70 degrees or warmer. They are screaming when it's sunny and warm though.

I've been emailing with SG.org guys (Thaden Field) and appears not a major issue so NW AR FlyOz two week trip with camper, Husky and ebikes is on and Idaho will be later in the summer. All good. =D>
