Classic aviation photos

My dad sent me a link today for this website:

http://personalpages.tdstelme.net/~westin/ac-4.htm

It has a lot of cool photos from 1940-1965 of some of our favorite aircraft.

He also sent me this sweet framer of a photo. Ever seen a C3 on floats?

The Port Townsend Aero Museum collection includes a cherry C3,powered by a mighty 36 horse (or is it 40?) Aeronca engine. Cool but gutless. I don't know if that one in the photo could get outa the water even solo, let alone with 2 on board. You'd have to be wake-hopping for sure!
They're cute little things, look like something you'd see in a roger rabbit cartoon.
