Re: Cleveland to Spokane in a C195

Well it's a beautiful old bird.
Stopped in Kewanee for the night, it sure was Ugly around Chicago was ifr-freeway thru most of the area, Kewanee was where I finally ran out of sky so had to stop for the night,(in the west at least you can see the mountains, those towers scare the hell out of me!!) Next morning was fair sky's only had to wait to get going as the primer didn't want to pump??? no new o rings there so with a small amount of grease I got the Jake running and headed west. 63 gals later I was in Pierre ND?? They had a linclon town car for use and had a great lunch, found some o rings and headed west again in fair sky's still, Makin 175mph ground speed as long as I didn't get to high, ran into ugly just before Billings made it into Laurel MT for some of the $2.99 gas will find out in the morning how much it takes. Will try and get thru the Mountain tomorrow. [-o<
Sure is a Nice Ride!GT :D

Don't push the weather too much brother. That airplane deserves beautiful skies. If you overnight in Polson let us know and maybe some of the boys will come and see ya. All we need is an excuse to fly!

The western part of Montana is OK but today is not the day to be flying VFR west from Billings(or north or south), tomorrow will be no better. Come on up to the tower and we'll give you a tour.

If you are stuck in Laurel, you should go check out Shotgun Willies [-X --It is an interesting place, to say the least. Tell them it is your birthday, and you will be sore for a week.
