CO high plains fly-in, Oct 1st/2nd (CD15)

Alright, time to starting thinking about this years fly-in. This will be the 4th annual fly-in and last year we had 12 planes. \:D/

Time: October 1 & 2, 2010 (Friday night and Saturday morning). 6:00pm (Fri) till Noonish (Sat).
Place: Schantz Airstrip/CD15 - http://www.airnav.com/airport/CD15
*marked power lines on the N side, trees on the S side.*
Usually Land to the N/ Takeoff to the S if winds permit
Airstrip is still ruff (8x6 tires are a plus) and has some whoops. Also, don't drive off into the ditches.
Comm: 122.9

Friday: The evening will include a campfire, movie (PG13/R) and lots of pilot BS. Camping on the field is encouraged and you can sleep on a cot or mattress in the hangar if need be. Plenty of pasture, but watch out for cow-pie and cacti!
Saturday: Pancake breakfast (donations accepted) and flying activities. If you want to shoot skeet or targets, bring your weapon of choice (within reason), we'll have a low-tech range set up on the north forty. And of course, flying activities.

Anyone with a sense of humor and a passion for aviation is welcome. 8) You must contact me for a waiver prior to flying in (keeps the landlord happy). There are restroom facilities, power, and water in the hangar, but the water is pretty gross, so bringing some is a plus (we'll have some on hand too). Food and beverage for Friday night is on you, but we'll have a BBQ set up for use. Mosquito spray is a plus. Email/PM me with any additional questions. :)

Sounds good guys. I received some waivers in the mail, if anyone else needs me to email them one, let me know.

Hopefully the wx holds, it has been nice the last week or so. And if you want to show up on Fri mid-afternoon, that's fine. We'll be out there all day getting things set up.

Matt, once I get into work this week I'm gonna get a feel to see if I can take Friday off so I can come out early and help set up.

Re: CO high plains fly-in, Oct 1st/2nd (CD15)

One more week folks.

The grass has been trimmed, the cows are locked up,
The party will not end, till the sun comes up.

We have room for over 100 planes,
So don't be shy, and come tell us your name.

In honor of Jason, the movie will be The Hangover,
Lots of fun, food, and friends, so come right on over.

Friday will come, and we can tell work to shove it,
So come on out, and help me shovel cacti into the bucket.

And just in case you were wondering, that is a New Holland 1116. ;)
