Columbia, Ca. O22 fly-in Fathers Day weekend

Anybody from BCP planning on attending?

I will be at the Tri-Tip BBQ and if you can find me, it'll be worth an adult beverage. ;-)

Nope, I asked around for a guy named Mark with a Maule then called John for a last name. The guys at the food thing said they knew who I was talking about but hadn't seen Mark. I just re-read the thread about the tri tip so I guess I was looking in the wrong place.

Darn it Dave, I didn't know you were coming over or I would have found you. Sorry we missed you.

I spent Saturday afternoon under the wing of a beautiful 1966 M4-210C parked about 1/2 way down the grass strip. I had met Greg and his wife earlier in the spring at the Luscombe Fly-in and the chair they offered me in the shade was too good to pass up.

Later in the afternoon Jeremy and Andy (in Jeremy's Maule) showed up (cost me a Guiness) along with Bill Reese and another Maule pilot that left before I caught his name. We all occupied the shade, provided by Greg's M4 before heading off to the BBQ. Wound up with 6 Maules at Columbia for the Fly-in ( in fairness 2 are based there) It was a lot of fun to meet some great people.

Mark,

Did Greg and Barb talk you into going to Big Creek?

Doug,

Well, I told them I was committed to Johnson Creek but would probably come over to B.C. to visit and they said they would be over to J.C also so either way I'm sure we'll be seeing them. BTW, Greg sure did a nice job on his M4 huh? If your looks as nice as his I'm going to be in trouble... ;-)

My M-4 don't look anywheres as nice as Greg's, but I did get a new prop for it last Saturday...

Now that I have your attention, what about Arlington and Idaho for the week?

Doug / John,

I'm running hard and burning the candle from both ends right now. I'm in the middle of a commercial remodel for our business that is occupying my free time, might not so free time and my any left over as well, so excuse my failure to communicate properly. I don't see how I can do Arlington at this point. I'm looking at maybe a 3-4 day trip at most for me to J.C. and it looks like Kathi is trying to flake out also. (Something about a concert. She told me and Barb at the same time when Barb asked about Big Creek ;-) ) So, I'm thinking it'll probably be my son and I at J.C.

The 27th however does look like I'll need to be in Bridgeport for breakfast or lunch to meet John. (Believe it or not I have a customer in Bridgeport I may have to say howdy to for tax purposes ;-) )

I'll try to check BCP the next few days and keep you updated.

That'll work but let's make it early. It's really warming up here and the hill gets bumpy pretty early in the day now.

Zane,

I'll keep that in mind. Right now he's on a fire down by Bakersfield (in a helicopter of all things). Hopefully the fire situation will allow him the weekend off.
