I've been looking at changing cell phone
Flight I'm thinking of trying to incorporate Nokia N800(or similar) PDA into phone ?? Have a friend Carl Sparks that uses "Skype" hooked to his local phone ( Think he has 700 Nokia) on Skype to the internet. My Present cell phone service is due for change (T-Mobil) does anyone know if the Nokia 800 will work on cell phone service ? I really want to come into the 21st. century and be able to text and receive same. My present phone(Motorla Razor) service is possible but cumbersome. I'd rather have one device Phone-message- camera- in one device -one payment. I've looked at the I Phone but don't want to go to ATT&T to get service. Any ideas ?
Thanks
Bill Reid

Verizon has a bunch of phones that have cameras and are suitable for texting. As for using Skype on them, I'm not sure. I think they discourage that, but don't know if there is a way to prevent it.

T-Mobile has the G1, running Google Android.
N800 series is more of an internet tablet as far as I know, and does not do regular voice calls on cell bands like GSM or CDMA.
