Contact

Wasn't there a guy named Jim that went by contact? I cant find anything on him. Had some interesting ideas on brisket walk approaches and energy management

Re: Contact

You're right and haven't heard anything from Jim for quite a while. He lived in MO.

Re: Contact

Contact's name is Jimmy Dulin and I believe he is still alive and kicking. He leaves posts on my youtube channel from time to time. Last one he left was just a few months ago. I learned a lot from him and his understanding of energy management was way ahead of his time. I think he got tired of some of the shame posting on this site to be honest. Not trying to create anything controversial here either. I think he is an incredible aviator and has a lot to offer. He flew crop dusters and I also believe is Vietnam Vet who flew Helicopters and saw a lot of action. Much respect for his service and his contribution to aviation.

This is his book on Amazon. I would like to see him post again on BCP.

Re: Contact

Jim is a great guy. We brought him up to Alberta to help with a mountain flying course and he learned a lot about our mountains, as did we. Very informative man and good times were had. I have 2 boxes of his books that I give out to my customers and flying friends.

Re: Contact

I think a part of the reason this site is so dead is because of the way he was treated.

Re: Contact

I didn't know this site is "so dead"; I enjoy the hell out of starting my day with a cup of coffee and reading BCP. To me, 4 or 5 new posts every day keeps me coming back. I apparently missed the "hey days". :)

Re: Contact

Jim's a great dude. I have a flight review from him 12-13 years ago and it was a hoot. He's in Missouri but has family in the Denver area. He must be getting on in years now - i think mid 70's. I have his phone number if you really want to talk to him, DM me.

Buy his book(s) - he has unique perspectives and he managed to somehow do a second addition in 2019:

I've you're still kicking around out there, Jim I hope you're well!

Thank you for that 8)

I've read Conatcts book, or at least tried to many times. It's good, and I give it to all the budding aggies that come through. But the truth is, for an eclectic mind such as mine, it is hard to track.
These threads that are compiled in your link... man... there's some good ones in there. The banter, BS and ribbing just add to the flavor, but with all the participants this one controversial individual drew in, the educational and enjoyable stuff just stews well.

Take care, Rob
