Yesterday my wife and I flew over to Copper Basin. We were planning to stay the night but after fishing for a while and looking though some of the old buildings we decided to head back home. There wasn't any good place to pitch a tent and no fire pit. I was tired and did not feel like building a pit so we just flew home. I was pleased with the performance of my little plane at that altitude, it got up pretty quick and climbed out. I was glad that the strip is in a open area since I am not real experienced in the backcountry.
Hopefully we make it to Johnson Creek but work might not allow it.

We didn't catch anything but I could see the little brookies swimming around. There was water everywhere and still quite a bit of snow.
