Corvair College

A couple of my fellow BCPers already know this, but my dad and I have spent years working together, learning, and and building a Pietenpol Aircamper. Last weekend we reached a big milestone - the first engine start. I wish I could have been there, but most of the year I'm not in Colorado, instead I'm lucky to go to school at Cal Poly SLO where I study Aerospace Engineering.

The EAA just published this video a few hours ago and I as excited to see it, as my parents attended the Corvair College in San Marcos last winter during our engine build.

And here's a quick pic of the progress. Only paperwork and placards left to go, then the inspection and some real fun begins! Image

Kevbot, I don't have the words to tell you how cool I think this is. That is a beautiful Air Camper!!! Great video from the EAA, too. Seeing the three generations working together and talking about it bringing them closer is pure gold. This is one of the best things I've seen all week - thanks for sharing this!

And, CONGRATULATIONS!! That is quite the milestone.
