Not sure if this was talked about on here so I thought I would post this. Last year the IAA and the Fish & Game teamed up to open a new strip. Last week I got to check it out. Not often to we get a new strip, let alone one in the Frank. FYI, another one is opening in a few weeks! Same sponsors, so look for the announcement!

Looked at the video twice. Looks like a neat place to land, walk around and take some pictures. Probably not too many itchy bugs. As for camping it looks a little barren. But cool that you could share it with us.

Two weeks ago in Boise the RAF had a mini conference and one of the speakers was Jessie, she's the biologist who was largely responsible for reopening the strip. She gave a presentation on fish and games reasons for reopening the strip. To Idaho it's all about hunter access. The private designation will go away once all the paperwork is done.
