Thought this was interesting.
Especially the construction and "new computer" sections

Great Airplane. I first flew in (picked up ) in Helio Courier in 1967 in Laos from mysterious Air America .
I'd love to have tri-gear Courier -there's a brown and white one on tiedown at WHP that hardly moves. Rode in another tri-gear from WHP to Barstow and back . Had really bad fuel leak in right wing that nearly killed us with instant ignition .GO-480 is not my favorite engine on fuel injection -won't start hot .
I saw one advertised in Brazil (ebay) for sale with turbine C250. Leading edge slats really come out at low speeds and control all the way down.

There is a little (LITTLE) private strip on the West Fork of the Salmon River that a guy with a Helio Courier used to own (it is no owned by a guy named Stan Potts). I went in there the first time (with my Kitfox1 in '89,) thinking it'd be a piece of cake if he was flying that big old plane out of there, man did I get a wake up call, and a permenant appreciation of the HC!
BTW the Rans S-7S kitplane I fly used to be officially named the Rans S-7 Courier, and that is how I got the moniker courierguy, I need to change that as it leads to confusion with the REAL courier.

There's a gorgeous looking tri-gear for sale on Barnstormers. I've been drooling over it for weeks. What a great plane!

That 1983 demo video is made all the more enjoyable by the announcer Billy Bob Bubba Beauregard Jr.!
There was an original Helio demo video form the 1960's that was available on a Helio website. Don't know if it is still up, but it is shows even more of the aircraft's performance... without the 1980's porn movie music.

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.
