Courtenay, British Columbia

Not necessarily information about airstrips or airports, but more general info about a greater area or a route of flight.

Re: Courtenay, British Columbia

Just up the road from Courtney is Cumberland, a cool little BC town with a lot of mountain biking. My Aircraft Mechanic has quit and opened a Brewery. The beer is great. Pizza next door can be ordered in. Worth a visit.

Re: Courtenay, British Columbia

Hope he can improve the standard of beer quality in Cumberland. Everyone knows that it is the "Luckiest town in BC", who's inhabitants drink more of the sorry swill excuse for a beer called "Lucky Lager" than anywhere else. https://leapbeer.wordpress.com/2012/12/31/leapbeer-366-all-good-things/

I guess Smit's field is about the same distance to the pub as Courtenay Airpark?
