Crossing Colorado’s Continental Divide
Not necessarily information about airstrips or airports, but more general info about a greater area or a route of flight.
Thanks Ted! That is a great resource.
I have been using
http://www.cotrip.org. That site has an interactive road map with camera icons you can click on. I would imagine the same cameras.

Hey Ted!
I think a better alternate direct or north route is Milner pass. You can cross 1,000' lower than rollins, and is often a much better option than direct or north to Cameron. It was always my preferred pass west in my J3, and still much prefer it now in my more capable 180. The best thing about it is that the terrain is much more gradual and I find it almost always a faster route than climbing straight up and over Rollins.
I also think Monarch deserves a mention if heading to GJT via southern routes - I'd at least have a look before I went much further down to Poncha.
Thanks for the article!

Thank you for the feedback guys!
You're right about Milner Pass. But I did pick one bad day to cross that years ago. Saw a 155 mph ground speed in my Cub...just a wee bit of a tailwind. I shouldn't have been up there that day period.
Yep, Monarch Pass works (sometimes). Seems like Monarch can be like Berthoud Pass with wind. One time I tried to cross Boreas Pass (near Como/Fairplay) and saw a 12 mph groundspeed! So we headed to Monarch--which worked with only maybe a 20 mph headwind there. The mountains make their own weather!
Thank you again!
