I sent my H10-13XL back to David Clark for repair after doing the unbelievable.
After securing my aircraft I took that one last look and seen a strap not secure. So I placed my flight bag next to the shotgun door of the corvette and secured the strap. Jumped into the vette and backed up a little and then proceeded to run over my flight bag.
As it turned out I only caught the end of the bag where the headset was stored. All things considering very lucky since I had a Garmin 296,396, Zoan TCAS, SPOT, CO2 alarm, and another headset at the other end of the bag.
I sent the mangled headset to David Clark for repair on the 9/3/08. It was returned today and it appears that they have sent me a new one or replaced all the parts. In the semiconductor business this was SOP to send the customer a new part(s). Needless to say I am very impressed with David Clark. I had considered looking at the ZuLu because of the bells and whistles but David Clark has won me over as a lifetime customer. I have no idea if David Clark's competitors have the same policy but I have heard good things about David Clark and they have come true for me. Looks brand spanking new!! either way I am a happy camper!
BTW there was no charge for the repair. I believe if the set has some years on it there is a $25.00 upgrade fee.
