Join Captain Fajardo and crew as they drive a DC-3 around the Colombian rainforest delivering goods to the outlying villages and hauling fuel in plastic drums.
Great footage of a pretty damned nice DC-3 along with some great cockpit approach views.
"DRIVING" is what one does in a bus or automobile. We are AVIATORS and we PILOT/FLY aircraft. The difference between driving an auto/bus and piloting a DC-3 into a jungle strip is like that of a butcher to a heart surgeon. Please don't diminish our vocation/avocation any more than has already been done. WORDS...do matter.
an awful lot like old harleys...i'll bet those old dc3's are a lot like runnin' across the wilds of idaho on a harley...very slow, noisy, and u MIGHT get there o.k....!

I think it's pretty amazing to see those birds still working and things great pilots can do with them!
A buddy that was there during the filming says if you can understand Spanish... and listen carefully... the dialog is much more real. Not the hyped up, emergency at any second... OH God, we are going to Fall from the SKY crap. For almost thirty years now... I have always used the phrase: "who's driving today?" It is sad to get all caught up in the terminology of who has more skills and education. Life is too short. Leave the Ego in the pickup. Just get in and drive.... Have a great week y'all.
Good footage of two proficient pilots going about their daily tasks without any BS. Like the gardening gloves... Could watch a lot more of this than the hyped up drama of another 'bush pilot' series.
