Ha... I like the mileage.. I put 3 gallons in, and still had most of it left after a 45 minute flight.. The sun is getting a bit lower now, and it's getting harder and harder to soar. A month ago, I climbed 2500' in less than three turns... EZFLAP's right, the T cart is a good glider, but I want to see if I can get the Cub to do the same thing. It sinks a lot faster tho, and will be tough I think.

Air restarts are tough in that T cart, ya have to be just at redline, and then it goes from stopped to like 2000 RPM.. Can't be good on it..

Carrying on in this theme, an old hang glider buddy of mine was a corp pilot for the Boise Cascade corp. Head pilot I think. One time a couple weeks after we had flown the site in my avatar, where I still fly, I looked up (I was for sure on the ground, it was way too windy for flying my hang glider that day ) but blowing right into the ridge, about 25 to 35 MPH on the ground, much more aloft) and there was a biz jet tucked in nice and tight and slow (for a jet) as it passed behind my place. Though I never got to ask Rod, there is no doubt it was him. He didn't kill the engine, and he only made the one pass, but it was obvious he was taking advantage of the lift and it was really helping out. Great to see and I still gotta laugh every time I think about it!
