Of the places you went, I enjoy Lone Pine. As far as Death Valley I like Shoshone of the big 3. (Furnace Creek, Stovepipe Wells and Shoshone) You have to like the desert if your going to like any of those. There are other Death Valley places that are not on the map that are interesting but really more of the same.

I am sorry to see that you missed the Big Pine Airport. It is on the East side of the river and South of town about 3 miles. Dirt runway about 1500' . No Pilot Lounge, lights, fuel, hangers. It was used before the war as a CPT training airport.
