New member here. Taking delivery of a new Denali Scout in a week or so. I owned a new Scout about 8 years ago. Sold it because I thought I wanted a 182 with the Peterson conversion. Got bored and wanted to go back to a 2 seater. Pretty excited.
Any other members here that have taken delivery of a Denali Scout?! Just trying to get some information on what to expect. What fuel flows and speeds to fly at, what to look out for, etc. Thanks in advance.

Damn Joe! I wish I could buy a new Denali Scout. In quite a few years I'll buy a new used one. Just got a 180 and am not in a position to have a two seater. Just sold my Citabria 7GCBC, and love the champion line. Just don't make a 4 seater.
Welcome here. Looking forward to reading your posts about your new plane. Have fun!

So that's what a new one looks like. Very nice, like the paint. Metal belly, baggage door, 8:50's, and is that a Muehlbauer prop? Haven't seen one on a bush airplane before.

You may be in a very exclusive group. Did the factory give you any owner/operator references before you purchased it?
What serial number is the "Denali"? Did ACA start at "zero" or continued with regular 8GCBC serial numbers?
I would love to see your new airplane?

Prop is a MT. This plane is a new one, but a 2013 the dealer had sat on awhile. It was pretty loaded with the 70 gallon tanks, metal belly, extended baggage, etc. They did not start over with the serial numbers. It's the same as the other Scouts. Matter of fact, you can still buy a 180 HP Scout in the sequence, so you will not be able to see through serial numbers if it is a 210 or 180 HP. This one is 559-2013. I haven't talked to the factory at all yet. Probably will. My previous Scout I had was 486-2006 and I had it built for me. Was going to do the same this time, but couldn't pass up the deal. I think there is less than 20 of these Denali Scouts out there so far, but I could be wrong.
I'm picking it up on the 29th and flying it to Boise to have a guy put VG's on it, put 29" bushwheels on and re-rig it. He will also flow match the heads which usually gets you another 10-20 HP. Should be a fun time for sure!
