Does anyone know any dirt strips in Ohio?

I've promised my best friend that we would go on a flight to a camp site in April, but the problem is, I can't find any sites! I need somewhere that we can go camping, possibly fishing, and fly to. Anyone have any suggestions? It doesn't have to be directly in Ohio, just relatively close.

I'm not happy unless there's room from me and the ground - it's that simple.

Also, the camp site has to be directly on the airfield. What fun is it if you can't land where you're gonna be? :D

No dirt strips there, all grass, hope that helps.

I followed them around, no dirt strips, but plenty of grass... And hills. Lots of hills. It was a blast!

What do you call a camping spot? Find a grass strip and pitch your tent. You have a camping spot. I41 is right on the Ohio river and there is a camp ground/RV park there. 75D is right on the Ohio river. Lee Bottom Field is close to you it looks like.
Moraine (I73) has a grass strip and is right on the river. Noble County (I10) is not grass but it does actually have a camping site on the airport with picnic tables and fire rings. It is also on a small lake that has fish in it

Funny you mentioned this.

I just flew up there a couple weeks ago from KPKB (Parkersburg) for some practice. Here is the video, it shows the parking area for camping.

Big Moose,
We are in the process of constructing a camping site at 69N Slatington Pa. Last fall we cleared the site along the river. We also raised funds for materials to construct picnic tables and to build an 8x12 bicycle storage shed. At the present time we are looking for bicycles which will be available for fly in camping. There will be access to about 3000 ft. of the Lehigh River and miles of bicycle trails. The Appalachian Trail is also near this site. Check our web site to follow our progress. 855. eaachapter.org
