I misplaced the battery for the remote control on my Drift. Can anyone tell me which battery I need to buy?

Ok so how does this mount? Is there a 1/2-20 tripod mount on the bottom? I don't have a horizontal bar as far as I know on the Luscombe struts. How do you get the picture level?

The lens rotates. BUT, unless you look directly at the recording indicator, it's very hard to see the extremely small LED indicator. What will work until it breaks off is to glue a little bit of angled plexiglass to diffuse the light.

Somebody on this site pointed to a site that makes a mount that clamps to the strut and that has a rotating piece that attaches to the camera (or in my case Manfrotto rapid connect mounting plate which the camera attaches to so I can quickly remove the camera when I stop for lunch) - not the smallest most drag resistant and not inexpensive but I just don't have to fuss with it any more. I can set it up - see the record LED straight on - and adjust the AOA up or down.

Maybe that is enough info to jog somebody's memory. It's not enough to jog mine to get the search terms to find it

Good info RJB. Thanks. I followed the original thread for awhile and I do remember somebody talking about a custom mount. The Luscombe has a kind of half fast semi vertical jack strut that would work for one of those bicycle mounts but it would place the camera about 90 degrees out of plumb. I'll read the manual this evening and try to figure it all out. I hate to splurge right now because I need a good set of headphones too but I ain't getting any younger you know? This flight home will make for a bunch of really fine pictures methinks. That was probably me who posted about the strut mount. I have one and I like it a lot, but it's only made for cessna struts right now. I would think that it would not be too difficult to make one for whatever type strut you have, though.
