I need to replace the LH exhaust collector on my 53 C180 with O470J. Any one have experience with Knisley, Wag Aero, or Aircraftexhaust.com? Thanks!

I haven't used any of those, but have used Dawley with good results.

My experience with Knisely has been very good. Exc. quality, perfect fit, very prompt service. And have heard the same from several others. Aerospace Welding also does very good.

Just put Knisley on both left and right sides on my 470. Good quality, but pricey. I noticed they were available on Trade a Plane for a couple hundred dollars less than my shop charged me. Far less parts than the original set up.
A 337 is needed and the parts have an STC.

Just curious what you paid for a 182 package from knisley? The LEES exhaust will come in around $4500 (complete) and is said to offer a considerable improvement

Some of the parts costs at annual this year.

Muffler 0750130-9-C OH $360.25
Knisley K0750130M-48 collectors. Two replaced. $790.65 each.
Heat shroud rebuilt. 3 hours labor.
Prop overhaul at Warner in Tucson. McCauley 2 blade, constant speed. $2400.00

Valves done in two cylinders etc... but that was not what you asked...

Aerospace Welding in MN. Good products and folks. I've used their parts on my airplanes and don't have any complaints. On one ship I replaced the whole system with their parts. On the other I installed a new muffler.
I have also used Knisely in the past.
Like all things, when you mix/match components from different sources in an exhaust system there can be fit issues. Sometimes things bolt up, sometimes they don't. Also, one outfits PMA'd part can be slightly different than the other or OEM.

When I put the dual exhaust on my '56 180, Knisely retail was about $3000 for the exhaust system. They didn't do the shrouds, so I had Aerospace welding make those up for me. Seems like it was around $600 for the pair. No issues.
