I'm not familiar with the Natinal Bureau of Standards Certification :?: I think you mean your scales are calibrated and certified to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). But what do I know, I'm not an I/A or A&P....

All joking aside the early ones when all stripped down can get pretty light.

That's super light Bill. The published empty weight is 1540 as I'm sure you know. I used to fly around with an air Taxi guy in Alaska who had a 180 with no interior trim panels at all. The seats were upholstered in plain tan canvas and there was no carpet. His had a Robertson kit if I remember right. I have no idea what the empty weight was but it did get going right away.

I have minimum radios ,2 seats (back is removed ) minimum interior ,Light weight (14 lbs) firewall mounted battery . 02B does have over sized gear and brakes ,Sportsman STOL kit etc. See my EDM web site for weight and balance details.
