Early Arrival...now there are two!

We went in for a routine checkup as we were approaching the end game with Dee's pregnancy. Ends up that the baby turned to the head up position the night before. Since there had been a lot of change from exam the week before, she was dialated, and we were at the same day into the pregnancy as we were when our little boy was born, the doctor decided to send her over to the hospital and see if he could turn the baby. A few hours later he was able to turn her and it became obvious in the next hour that her body was going into labor (3.5 weeks before her due date).

5.5 hrs later, on November 5, 2009 at 8:31pm, Sadie Lynn was born. 6 lbs 8oz. 20" long. Both mom and baby are doing great. I was so happy to be here this time. What an experience. I brought them home yesterday and we are just enjoying being home together. (My wonderful wife did let me slip away to fly with a student yesterday. His checkride is this coming Friday.)

Thanks for indulging me. The pink blanket with the airplanes hasn't arrived yet, but she'll soon have it. The shirt wasn't planned, just what I happened to be wearing that day since I was heading up to the airport to fly. Zane, how about a BCP onesie! :D

Wow!! Congrats all around.

I've met several BCP'ers who would love a head of hair like that.

Okay, if that is your story, stick with it. But just so you know I think we all expect to see mom and baby pictures just like the excellent ones grassstrippilot posted! He is obviously a devoted father!

Re: Early Arrival...now there are two!

Thanks everyone! It has been a busy week. New baby, running heard on my two year old, and on top of all that, my student's PPL checkride yesterday. Now I think I can just take a breath and relax for a bit. By the way, he passed with flying colors.

Can't wait to take her on her first plane ride in a few weeks.
