Hey gang,

I've got a buddy who is headed out to the Yellowstone area in a couple of weeks for some fishing. He is planning on flying into WYS and I was hoping y'all might have some local knowledge to share (airport, wx, etc). The AFD says the FBO services are unavailable after Sept 30. Is this usually true or is it wx dependent?

Pretty standard for them to shut down on 9/30. We usually make a day trip over there in September, rent a car and go into town for the day with a group of local pilots.

Was just there, the FBO is nice. Give them a call. If they are close you still can get in the fence with a code. And rental cars are available in town they will pick you up
