Edmonton to Tuk - NWT
Get together with other pilots or enthusiasts. Plan it or get info about it here.
Next weekend we are going on our trip for 2 weeks. There will be 4 of us in 2 planes.....a Maul and my 185. On our way up will hit most of the good spots, Toad River, Scoop Lake, Braeburn, Ft. Selkirk as well as making pit stops in Whitehorse and Dawson City.
We will camp most of the way. I am quite familiar with the route to Dawson but I am looking for any assistance on any hidden gems to stop at on our way down the Mackenzie River Valley from Tuk to Yellowknife then to Fort Chip.
Any advice would be great!

David,
We will be leaving from Edmonton. If things go well our plan is to spend the first night north of Muncho Lake on the Liard River somewhere.
More than welcome to come up but quite a distance for you.

I'm sure you guys are aware of the big fire burning southwest of tumbler ridge. Its making for very smoky conditions around my place and Grande Prairie. Up at 1000' AGL its about 2 mile vis.

Thanks for the update David.
We will have to watch out for that one as well as some in the NWT.
Hopefully we don't have to detour very far if they get worse.
