EDO 2500A/2790A OWNER'S MANUAL

:?: Help! As the new, proud owner a MX-7-235 on 2500A floats I have found the documentation for the floats as originally supplied to be deficient. My mechanic isn't familiar with float mx and I need to get him up to speed. Does anyone have a resource for a decent copy of the owner’s manual EDO would have originally provided? The manual for 2790As would probably have been the one applicable for the 2500As.

Check the Kenmore site. They have a large number of documents for the Edo floats available online as downloadable PDF files.

:( No joy, Ken. Their PDF offering is limited to parts lists & diagrams. I have talked to them and they offer essentially the same poor quality reproductions that I already have as originally provided by Maule (for $35).

tgrtom,

welcome fellow yooper!
my recommendation would be to contact steve at great lakes air in st. ignace. he is very familiar with the edo 2790 amphibs and their intricate hydraulic/ cable operation.

being a floatplane guy on drummond island, you must know rich bjork? if you talk to any of these old fellows, tell them ryan says hello from alaska.....

Ryan,

:) That's a great lead. I'll look forward to talking to him. I'm not on Drummond Is although its nearby. I looked up Rich in the book and found him to be in DeTour which is the jumpoff point for Drummond.

I checked out your pics. Looks like you're having a great time.

Thanks for your help, I'll look forward to giving them your regards.

I've never heard of EDO2500s. Are they straight or amphibs?
