Run it hard and keep it cool makes sense because I've been told "break it in like you'll fly it". Was also told by multiple sources to use Phillips XC20-50 during break in. I use that exclusively anyway, so that's convenient. My new Lyc has 2.9 hrs. on it and all seems well (knock on wood)... CHT about 360, more in climb and drops in level or descent... so very normal. EGT about 1320 or so. Oil temps 200-210 and it was 101 OAT today. I have NOT left it at redline. I've varied the power to mimic my normal use.

FWIW, I also had high oil pressure and after backing out the adjustment all the way it was still 80 at idle and 120+ at full throttle. I had to swap out the spring and now it's perfect.
