EVO Helmets

Anyone use one? What do you think of it? Can you wear glasses in a model 052 with the built in shade down? I have covered their website, the EVO looks like a pretty nice helmet, less money than a Gallet but still a good chunk of cash.

Thanks for any input.

Re: EVO Helmets

The Gallet is significantly more refined. Both MSA, dealers and both Evo dealers will do their best to keep your business, but my experience has been that the quality of avionics build coming out of Tiger right now is head and shoulders above the others.
FWIW, I've had several Gallets, but only one Evo. I bought it earlier this year, it has about 8 hours on it (parts of 3-4 nights)
if that tells you anything, and I just had another MSA built up to replace it....

All of these helmets can be adjusted for use with glasses, I wear them.
Take care, Rob

Thanks for the update, Rob.

Last fall we flogged this topic well, with the best being a detailed writeup from Rob, including some early impressions of EVO ownership. 6 months later your additional impressions have pushed me over the line to Gallet. As I will only ever own one helmet, I rely on the pros for real world impressions.

Once again great community here.
