Apparently this is not only legal in NZ, but it's approved for use with commercial passengers.



I showed it to a friend of mine who manufactures mounts for pretty much anything that's ever been hung on an aircraft, and he said "no problem".

As it turns out, only the mount has to be tested and certified, not the thing that attaches to it. He said it would be a simple approval, though when the feds saw it in use there would probably be some friction.

Unfortunately his shop rate would make the mount more expensive than the airplane.

Interesting looking airbrakes... Anyone know what 4 bikes hanging off the exterior of a Skywagon does to the cruise speed?

I suspect it may reduce the speed by 10% and increase the net profit by 400%.

What are those skid looking things on the inboard side of the airplane's wheels?

I believe they are gravel deflectors.
