When mtn flying I tend to be a bit more diligent on pre-flights. You know just look a bit closer. Well we have three of our four kids here for Christmas with spouses and 9 grand kids. As most know, I have my plane at the ranch.

Most all wanted to fly so I made 5 take offs and landing today. Best pre-flight that has been made on that plane in a long time.

Everbody had a great time and the plane is tucked in safe and sound in the hobby shop.

No, Tim prefers to call them "Liberal" pancakes, or "Alternate Lifestyle" pancakes, in order to make sure he remains politically correct at all times. "Gay" pancakes would imply that he rolls them around strawberries and whipped cream or something.

Hey Tim, I have seen you mention your "hobby shop" a couple of times on different threads. I must have missed the thread where you explained what it is. Can you tell me about it? The reason I am interested is because I used to own a couple of real hobby shops so I was having flashbacks involving trains, planes and automobiles!

I live on 120 acres. The dream has been to build a hangar and keep the plane here. When I finally got the plans drawn up and submitted to the county I had it labeled as a storage building. They asked what I was going to store and simply replied I was going to use it as a hobby shot, you know to work on old cars or a boat or somthing like that. Cannot build a hangar without a use permit. My windsock is a rainbow fish. Flash back from Height Asbury days in 1967 in Frisco. Regulation windsock would indicate airport.

I wonder if they have figured it out yet.

Tim, do you also occasionally dress up like an old hippie lady and make trips to and from the hobby shop carrying armloads of teddy bears, just to throw "them" off?

Then one day the old hippie lady emerged from the shop in a contraption like a great white beast, spinning a blade of death on its nose that threatened to hobby chop anyone who challenged. In an instant, she was gone like a schizophrenic cormorant in search of baby turtles, and hot glue.
